Natascha Steiner-Smith
Offshore law firm Baker & Partners has appointed Natascha Steiner-Smith as a partner in its Cayman Islands office, strengthening its disputes and arbitration practice in the jurisdiction.
The firm said Steiner-Smith’s arrival supports its growth strategy in the Caribbean and expands its capacity to handle complex cross-border litigation and arbitration matters. She joins a Cayman partnership that includes Jennifer Colegate, Fleur O’Driscoll and Robert Jones.
Steiner-Smith specialises in commercial litigation and international arbitration, with experience in multi-jurisdictional disputes involving contracts, shareholders’ agreements and financial institutions. Her work also includes enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, as well as advising insolvency practitioners, banks and energy companies, according to the firm.
She has previously worked at several international law firms, including DLA Piper, Akin Gump, Maples & Calder and Collas Crill, and has practised in the United Kingdom and the Cayman Islands. The firm said her background across multiple jurisdictions adds to its ability to manage complex cross-border cases.
