Walkers Professional Services has agreed to acquire Luxembourg-based Value Partners, a deal that will establish the professional services provider in Luxembourg’s alternative investment funds market.
The acquisition will expand WPS’ European operations and add more than 150 Value Partners employees to its platform. Following completion, WPS and Value Partners will have a combined 560 employees across 10 alternative funds markets, including the Cayman Islands, London, Ireland and Luxembourg.
Value Partners, founded in 2012, provides professional services to private equity, real estate and private credit funds, as well as banks and multinational companies. The firm will continue operating under the Value Partners brand as an affiliate of WPS and Walkers after the transaction closes.
WPS CEO Steven Manning said the acquisition was driven by client demand for the company to establish a presence in Luxembourg.
“Our clients have been clear that they want WPS alongside them in Luxembourg, and this acquisition is our response,” Manning said. “Value Partners gives us an established base in the market and brings a highly respected firm into our European platform.”
Value Partners CEO Gregory Centurione said joining WPS and Walkers would give the Luxembourg firm access to a broader international platform while allowing it to expand its position in the alternative funds industry.
Completion remains subject to customary regulatory approvals, with notification and approval processes underway with the relevant authorities.
