Vistra appoints Damian Leach as chief AI and digital officer

Damian Leach

Corporate services provider Vistra has appointed Damian Leach as its first chief AI and digital officer, a newly created role aimed at expanding the firm’s use of artificial intelligence and digital platforms across its global operations

Leach will be based in Singapore, the company’s global headquarters, and will focus on improving client experience, operational consistency and connectivity across Vistra’s international business, the company said.

The appointment comes as firms in the corporate services sector face increasing regulatory complexity and growing demand for digital solutions. Vistra said the role is part of its broader strategy to enhance its global technology platform and better integrate services such as legal entity management, accounting, tax and payroll.

Chief Executive Officer Kim Jenkins said the company has been investing in a unified digital platform to allow clients to manage their global operations in one place. In a statement, she said the new role represents the next step in that effort.

Leach brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and digital transformation, including leadership roles in global banking and as chief technology officer of a Fortune 500 software company. Most recently, he served as global chief information officer at Seaco, a container leasing company that later merged with Textainer.

In a statement, Leach said his focus will be on building global platforms and integrating artificial intelligence into services to improve efficiency and client access to data. Vistra employs more than 9,000 people across over 50 markets, providing services including payroll, tax, accounting and regulatory compliance, according to the company.
