Walkers has signed a strategic co-investment agreement with Vitruvian Partners to accelerate the global growth of Walkers Professional Services (WPS), the firm’s corporate and fiduciary services business.
The two firms will share ownership of WPS under the deal, which aims to scale the business, expand into new markets and strengthen its service capabilities for clients across major investment hubs. Walkers said demand is rising for integrated fund and corporate services delivered alongside legal advice.
Ingrid Pierce, Walkers’ global managing partner, said the partnership supports the firm’s goal of offering end-to-end solutions across leading financial centers. “This partnership with Vitruvian Partners presents a significant opportunity to extend WPS into new markets, enhance its service range, and drive efficiencies,” Pierce said.
WPS CEO Steven Manning said Vitruvian’s investment and sector expertise will help the business expand faster and strengthen its offering. Vitruvian partner Luuk Remmen said the firm sees an opportunity to build a “global leader in fund and corporate services,” backed by new technology and market expansion.
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval. Advisers on the deal included Paddock Capital Markets, RSM and Skadden for Walkers, and Alvarez & Marsal and Freshfields for Vitruvian.
