Saffery Trust wins international award for second year in a row

PCA 2025

Saffery Trust has been named “Midsize Trust Company of the Year” at the global STEP Private Client Awards, marking the second consecutive year the firm has received the honour.

The recognition highlights the Guernsey-based company’s role in the international private client sector, where it provides trust and fiduciary services. The awards, organized by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), are regarded within the industry as a benchmark for quality.

Alongside the title, Saffery Trust was also shortlisted in the “Employer of the Year” category for the second year running. Associate Director Simon Ricketts was recognised as a finalist in the new “Rising Star (non-legal)” category.

STEP’s judging panel, made up of practitioners from across the private client profession, assessed entrants on performance, innovation, client service and contributions to the sector. According to the firm, its submission highlighted work with complex trust structures, digital asset clients and growth in new markets.

The company also pointed to investments in staff training and development, noting it has been recognised as a STEP Platinum Employer for ten consecutive years.

Lisa Vizia, director of Saffery Trust in Guernsey and Cayman, said the award reflects “the dedication, expertise and collaborative spirit” of the firm’s teams across jurisdictions.
