Cayman Finance and ACAMS members are invited to an exclusive opportunity to gain insight into the FATF’s Mutual Evaluation Process — a rigorous, periodic peer review through which member countries assess one another’s frameworks for combating money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing.

This fast-paced session will unfold in two parts.

1. Participants will first hear from Rick McDonell, Executive Director of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) and former Executive Secretary of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

2. The session will then transition to an interactive panel discussion, followed by time for audience Q&A.

About Rick McDonell

Rick McDonell is the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of McDonell-Nadeau Consultants, an internationally recognised consultancy specialising in financial integrity and supporting both governments and the private sector in combating financial crime.

Prior to this, Rick served in senior leadership roles within the global anti-financial crime framework, including as Chief of the United Nations Global Programme against Money Laundering. He was also the founder and inaugural Executive Secretary of the Asia-Pacific Group on Money Laundering and previously held a leadership role at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Rick has served as a member of the Advisory Board on the Future of Financial Intelligence Sharing and as Chair of its Advisory Board. He has also held the position of Adjunct Professor in the Executive Master of Arts in Financial Integrity programme at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, United States.
