Steve McIntosh is the CEO of Cayman Finance.
Originally from Scotland, Steve is proudly Caymanian with an extensive career in financial services which led to his appointment as CEO of Cayman Finance in September 2022.
Steve began his career with global accounting firm KPMG in the United Kingdom before relocating to the Cayman Islands in 2001.
In 2004 he founded financial services recruitment specialist CML, later co-founding spin-offs Nova and “Connect”. In 2020 Steve founded CareerPoint.com, a tech enabled start-up offering virtual coaching for early and mid-career professionals.
Steve is a fellow chartered accountant (ICAEW), has a BA from the University of Strathclyde, and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Director

Samantha serves as Director responsible for the Funds and Capital Markets Sectors, as well as member engagement, at Cayman Finance.
With nearly two decades of experience driving business development and strategic growth, Samantha has built a career leading high-impact initiatives across global markets. Her expertise lies in shaping strategy, forging influential partnerships, and delivering results for large multinational organisations.
Samantha leads global advocacy for two of the Cayman Islands’ most critical sectors, Investment Funds & Capital Markets. She focuses on advancing strategic priorities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and positioning Cayman as a premier international financial centre on the global stage.
Prior to Cayman Finance, Samantha spent eight years in Hong Kong with leading multinational firms, most recently at Ernst & Young HK, where she played a pivotal role in business development and account management for top-tier banking clients across Asia-Pacific, including Citigroup and HSBC.
Samantha is triple certified as a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited Director (Acc.Dir.) and Project Management Professional (PMP). She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Elon University (USA) and Master of Science in Sustainability from Hult International Business School (USA).
Beyond global advocacy, Samantha is passionate about nurturing the next generation of Caymanian talent and actively support initiatives aimed at developing skills and opportunities for young professionals in financial services.
Born and raised in Cayman, Samantha is also the country’s most decorated female golfer, having represented the national team in over 25 countries, earned two Island Games medals, and achieved numerous regional titles, including becoming the first Caymanian to secure an NCAA Division I golf scholarship.
Associate Director

Brittany serves as an Associate Director responsible for business development across the Insurance, Reinsurance and Trusts Sectors at Cayman Finance. In this role, she supports the growth and promotion of these sectors, strengthening Cayman’s position as a leading international financial centre.
Brittany has held various roles at a Big 4 firm in the Cayman Islands, the US and Bermuda over the past 11 years. Brittany has extensive experience in managing Fortune 500 client engagements, transformative accounting advisory services, financial statement audits, and implementing quality and risk management systems.
Brittany is actively engaged in promoting the insurance, reinsurance and trust sectors in the Cayman Islands through advocacy, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting research and analysis, and connecting with the community in a way that supports the growth and sustainability of these sectors.
Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Brittany holds a Bachelor (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester.
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” And in response, Brittany is deeply committed to the community and actively volunteers in over 10 non-for-profit organizations in the Cayman Islands, supporting women empowerment and social services.
To name a few, Brittany is an involved member of CIIPA’s ESG Committee, 100 Women in Finance, a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor, and actively engages with high schools, local colleges, and graduate programmes as 2023 Head of the Cayman Finance LEAD programme. Brittany is also a past member of the Communications Committee for Women in Reinsurance Bermuda.

Associate Director

Haymond Rankin serves as the Associate Director for the FinTech, Virtual Assets and Banking Sectors at Cayman Finance. In this role, he spearheads initiatives that support economic growth, enhance government revenue, and create job opportunities across Cayman’s evolving digital finance and banking landscape.
Haymond has extensive experience in crypto and financial-services legal work, having guided numerous companies in establishing their fintech, virtual asset, and banking operations in the Cayman Islands. His expertise is complemented by a background in both the public and private sectors, where he has addressed public-interest matters and led complex investigations, particularly in data protection and regulatory compliance.
Committed to technological innovation, industry collaboration, and sustainable growth, Haymond leverages his legal expertise to advance the development of fintech, virtual assets, and banking within the Cayman Islands financial services market. His work helps ensure these sectors evolve responsibly while maintaining Cayman’s reputation as a leading international financial centre.
Proudly Caymanian, Haymond is deeply connected to the Cayman Islands and has witnessed its remarkable evolution. This perspective fuels his dedication to community initiatives and industry engagement that support the continued growth and resilience of Cayman’s financial services ecosystem.
Haymond holds an honours degree from the University of Tampa and later earned his Graduate Diploma in Law from The University of Law. He qualified as an attorney at Harney Westwood & Riegels in 2018.

Danielle Hennings, CPA, is an Associate Director with responsibility for Community Engagement at Cayman Finance.
Danielle works with Cayman Finance members to open doors for young and talented Caymanians. She spearheads the LEAD programme, making a significant impact on the next generation of leaders. Recognising that the industry’s success should be synonymous with the success of its people, her goal is to inspire residents to become industry ambassadors both locally and abroad.
Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Danielle is a proud product of both the public and private school systems. She pursued her higher education at Penn State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s With Distinction and Master’s degrees in Accounting. Danielle embodies the spirit of community engagement, leveraging her professional expertise to make a lasting impact on the Cayman Islands and its future leaders.
Member Engagement Associate

Jennifer Steinberg holds the many-faceted position of Member Engagement Associate at Cayman Finance.
Jennifer has extensive experience in market research, business development, product management, and marketing & communications which has been gained through numerous positions in organisations ranging from publicly-traded companies, tech startups, one of Canada’s largest single-industry associations, and Dart.
Jennifer is focused on building Cayman Finance’s member base, introducing new benefits, and ensuring members derive the most value from their memberships.
Originally from Canada, Jennifer has lived in the Cayman Islands for over 7 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.

Michael is responsible for content generation for Cayman Finance’s website, newsletters and general media, as well as public relations.
Michael has more than 20 years’ experience as a financial journalist.
He is the former business editor of the Cayman Compass and former editor of offshore finance magazine Cayman Financial Review.
Michael started his career as a media analyst and corporate communications consultant in Germany, the US and the UK. Before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2008, he wrote for a British corporate finance publication and managed his own public relations business in the UK and Germany.
Michael received an MA in Political Science and International Law from the University of Bonn in Germany.
Manager, Social Media & Brand

Alanna is responsible for Marketing at Cayman Finance and supports the team with Business Development and Community Engagement projects and initiatives.
A Social Media Specialist with six years of high-level industry experience, Alanna excels at growing and nurturing online communities. She is dedicated to the continuous growth and optimisation of Cayman Finance’s social media platforms to enhance the reach of Cayman Finance content and promote Cayman Finance member firms.
Alanna served as Director of the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA) from 2020 to 2022 and the Cayman Islands Society for Human Resource Professionals (CISHRP) from 2018 to 2020.
A community-minded ambivert, Alanna is passionate about making the world a better place than how she found it. As past President of Rotaract Blue Cayman Islands (2020-2021), she received “Proud of Them” recognition from the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Heritage & Culture in 2022 for her community service efforts and achievements. She was later recognised as a Role Model in the Cayman Islands in the 2023 edition of Cayman Parent magazine.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Liverpool.

Public Relations Specialist

Henry Conner is the Public Relations Specialist at Cayman Finance, where he plays a key role in strategic communications to protect and promote the reputation of the Cayman Islands financial services industry.
His role supports Cayman Finance’s efforts to educate local and international audiences on the jurisdiction’s high regulatory standards and globally respected legal and professional infrastructure.
Henry brings over a decade of public relations experience supporting financial services clients at several of the UK’s leading PR agencies. Most recently, he served as an Account Director in the Financial Services team at Edelman, the world’s largest PR firm.
His expertise spans media relations, reputation management, integrated campaigns, thought leadership, press release drafting, reactive commentary, and broadcast pitching. He has provided strategic PR support to a wide range of organisations, including insurers, fintechs, asset managers, investment brokers, wealth managers, retail banks, professional services firms, and pension schemes.
Originally from York, Henry holds a BSc in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath.
Finance & Operations Manager

Michelle Cullen is the Finance & Operations Manager at Cayman Finance, where she oversees the organisation’s financial management, operational planning, and internal compliance. With over 25 years of experience in accounting and financial services, Michelle brings a wealth of expertise in fund administration, private equity structures, and regulatory frameworks. Her practical, detail-driven approach helps ensure the smooth execution of Cayman Finance’s strategic goals.
Prior to joining Cayman Finance, Michelle co-founded and led Focus Administration Limited, a boutique fund administration firm that provided bespoke services to a wide range of investment structures. She also held senior roles at HSBC Financial Services (Cayman) Limited and Admiral Administration Limited, managing complex portfolios and driving client service excellence across regulatory and operational functions.
Earlier in her career, Michelle worked in the United States with Aronson & Company, a top 100 national accounting firm, where she performed audits and asset valuations across sectors including investment management, construction, and non-profits.
Michelle is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She has served on the Executive Committee of the Cayman Islands Fund Administrators Association (CIFAA).
Originally from Washington, D.C., Michelle has called the Cayman Islands home for over 30 years.
Outside of work, she is an avid supporter of One Dog at a Time and the proud rescuer of a Shih Tzu named Sushi. She has a strong interest in real estate, enjoys trying her hand at gardening despite not having much of a green thumb, and values time spent giving back to her community.
