CEO
Steve McIntosh is the CEO of Cayman Finance.
Originally from Scotland, Steve is proudly Caymanian with an extensive career in financial services which led to his appointment as CEO of Cayman Finance in September 2022.
Steve began his career with global accounting firm KPMG in the United Kingdom before relocating to the Cayman Islands in 2001.
In 2004 he founded financial services recruitment specialist CML, later co-founding spin-offs Nova and “Connect”. In 2020 Steve founded CareerPoint.com, a tech enabled start-up offering virtual coaching for early and mid-career professionals.
Steve is a fellow chartered accountant (ICAEW), has a BA from the University of Strathclyde, and an MBA from the University of Oxford.
Associate Director
Brittany is an Associate Director responsible for Business Development in the Insurance, Reinsurance, Banking and Trusts Sectors. As a passionate advocate for community engagement, Brittany’s most notable title is connecting to community as the Head of the Cayman Finance LEAD Programme.
Brittany has held various roles at a Big 4 firm in the Cayman Islands, the US and Bermuda over the past 11 years. Brittany has extensive experience in managing Fortune 500 client engagements, transformative accounting advisory services, financial statement audits, and implementing quality and risk management systems.
Brittany is actively engaged in promoting the insurance, reinsurance and trust sectors in the Cayman Islands through advocacy, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting research and analysis, and connecting with the community in a way that supports the growth and sustainability of these sectors.
Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Brittany holds a Bachelor (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester.
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” And in response, Brittany is deeply committed to the community and actively volunteers in over 10 non-for-profit organizations in the Cayman Islands, supporting women empowerment and social services.
To name a few, Brittany is an involved member of CIIPA’s ESG Committee, 100 Women in Finance, a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor, and actively engages with high schools, local colleges, and graduate programmes as Head of the Cayman Finance LEAD programme. Brittany is also a past member of the Communications Committee for Women in Reinsurance Bermuda.
Associate Director
Samantha is the Associate Director responsible for Funds and Capital Markets at Cayman Finance. With over 16 years of experience in client-facing and strategic roles, her career encompasses a broad range of sector knowledge across financial services, legal, real estate and luxury goods. Her multi-faceted expertise and global perspective significantly enhances her ability to navigate complex market dynamics and drive strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Cayman Finance, Samantha spent 8 years in Hong Kong working for multinational organisations. Most recently, with Ernst & Young HK, playing a key role in account management, driving business growth and forging key client relationships across the Asia-Pacific for the firm’s top-tier banking clients including Citigroup and HSBC.
Samantha is dual certified as a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). She also holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Elon University (USA) and Masters of Science in Sustainability from Hult International Business School (USA).
Proudly Caymanian, Samantha is also the country’s most decorated golfer, having represented the Cayman Islands National Team in over 25 countries around the world, is a two-time Island Games medalist, and Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships title holder, among other accolades.
Associate Director
Haymond Rankin serves as the Associate Director for the Fintech and Virtual Asset Sector at Cayman Finance. In this role, he spearheads initiatives to drive economic growth, enhance government revenue, and create job opportunities within the fintech and virtual asset industries.
Haymond has extensive experience in crypto legal work, having guided numerous companies in establishing their fintech and virtual asset operations in the Cayman Islands. His expertise is complemented by a background in both public and private sectors, where he has addressed public interest matters and led complex investigations, particularly in data protection.
Committed to technological innovation, industry collaboration, and sustainable growth, Haymond leverages his legal expertise to advance the fintech and virtual asset landscape. His dedication ensures effective contributions to the sector’s development within the Cayman Islands financial services market.
Proudly Caymanian, Haymond is deeply connected to the Cayman Islands and has witnessed its remarkable evolution. This fuels his dedication to community initiatives promoting the local fintech ecosystem, reflecting his commitment to the social and economic development of the Cayman Islands.
Haymond holds a degree with honors from the University of Tampa and later earned his Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law. He qualified as an attorney at Harney Westwood & Riegels law firm in 2018.
Associate Director
Danielle Hennings, CPA, is an Associate Director with responsibility for Community Engagement at Cayman Finance.
Danielle works with Cayman Finance members to open doors for young and talented Caymanians. She spearheads the LEAD programme, making a significant impact on the next generation of leaders. Recognising that the industry’s success should be synonymous with the success of its people, her goal is to inspire residents to become industry ambassadors both locally and abroad.
Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Danielle is a proud product of both the public and private school systems. She pursued her higher education at Penn State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s With Distinction and Master’s degrees in Accounting. Danielle embodies the spirit of community engagement, leveraging her professional expertise to make a lasting impact on the Cayman Islands and its future leaders. Danielle is a dedicated mentor in the 100 Women in Finance – GirlForce 100 programme, contributing to the development of young professional women.
Member Engagement Associate
Jennifer Steinberg holds the many-faceted position of Member Engagement Associate at Cayman Finance.
Jennifer has extensive experience in market research, business development, product management, and marketing & communications which has been gained through numerous positions in organisations ranging from publicly-traded companies, tech startups, one of Canada’s largest single-industry associations, and Dart.
Jennifer is focused on building Cayman Finance’s member base, introducing new benefits, and ensuring members derive the most value from their memberships.
Originally from Canada, Jennifer has lived in the Cayman Islands for over 6 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
Head of Special Events
Jane is Head of Special Events at Cayman Finance.
With over 30 years of experience in leadership, management, and organizing incentive travel programs, meetings, and conferences, Jane has worked with some of the largest companies in the United States. Her expertise spans managing programs ranging from over 600 participants to intricate high-end experiences for small groups.
Jane was the Executive Director of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) and responsible for their largest fundraising event, Taste of Cayman. She was also the Deputy Director of Tourism, International Marketing and Promotions, for the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) overseeing the United States, United Kingdom and Canada offices, and the Director of InvestCayman, an investment promotion agency for the Cayman Islands Government.
Jane is actively engaged in working with our members on both local and international events and activations that provide value, education and success to our members, clients, and people. The goal being to connect our financial services industry and our community while making a positive impact on our people and economy.
Born and raised in Jamaica and educated in the United Kingdon, Jane is proudly Caymanian and has resided in the Cayman Islands for over 19 years.
Jane has worked in our community in many leadership roles including owning her own luxury yacht charter company. She is passionate about safe and sustainable motoring and President of the Cayman Motoring Federation and one of the only female drag racers in the Cayman Islands.
Content Editor
Michael is responsible for content generation for Cayman Finance’s website, newsletters and general media, as well as public relations.
Michael has more than 20 years’ experience as a financial journalist.
He is the former business editor of the Cayman Compass and former editor of offshore finance magazine Cayman Financial Review.
Michael started his career as a media analyst and corporate communications consultant in Germany, the US and the UK. Before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2008, he wrote for a British corporate finance publication and managed his own public relations business in the UK and Germany.
Michael received an MA in Political Science and International Law from the University of Bonn in Germany.
Associate
Alanna is responsible for Marketing at Cayman Finance and supports the team with Business Development and Community Engagement projects and initiatives.
A Social Media Specialist with five years of high-level industry experience, Alanna excels at growing and nurturing online communities. She is dedicated to the continuous growth and optimisation of Cayman Finance’s social media platforms to enhance the reach of Cayman Finance content and promote Cayman Finance member firms.
Alanna served as Director of the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA) from 2020 to 2022 and the Cayman Islands Society for Human Resource Professionals (CISHRP) from 2018 to 2020.
A community-minded ambivert, Alanna is passionate about making the world a better place than how she found it. As past President of Rotaract Blue Cayman Islands (2020-2021), she received “Proud of Them” recognition from the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Heritage & Culture in 2022 for her community service efforts and achievements. She was later recognised as a Role Model in the Cayman Islands in the 2023 edition of Cayman Parent magazine.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Liverpool.
Operations Associate
Tishan Conolly (nee Crowe), serves as Operations Associate at Cayman Finance.
With over 12 years of experience in operations across private and public sectors, Tishan manages office functions, accounting, and provides administrative support. She founded her business, Conolly Concierge & Consulting, in 2019.
An advocate for education, Tishan’s 10-year post-tertiary studies span University College of the Cayman Islands, Johnson & Wales University, and the University of Liverpool. Despite juggling studies and multiple jobs, she excelled, earning 8 scholarships, consecutive Dean’s List placements, and various awards during her Bachelor’s in Management studies, including Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society, ‘Special Honors and Rewards Program’ (SHARP), Award Ceremony Student Speaker, and was later recognised by the Cayman Islands Government as a ‘Proud of Them’ recipient for being the top graduate in her University Graduating Class of 2016.
Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Tishan aligns with Cayman Finance’s commitment to supporting the Cayman community. She held a board seat (2020-2022) and was a Rotaract Blue member (2019-2022). Tishan volunteered with Literacy is for Everyone (2017-2020), and due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, she had to cease her volunteering with LIFE. Tishan continues to support community initiatives through her business.
