Nick Hoffman
Harneys has appointed new office managing partners for its British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands offices, with both appointments taking effect July 1.
Claire Goldstein has been named office managing partner in the British Virgin Islands, succeeding Tanya Cassie-Parker, who held the position for the past seven years. Goldstein will continue to serve as co-head of the firm’s Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring practice in the jurisdiction alongside Christopher Pease.
In the Cayman Islands, Nick Hoffman has been appointed office managing partner, succeeding Carolynn Vivian. Hoffman, who specialises in insolvency and restructuring, financial services litigation, company disputes and fraud, will also remain global head of the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. Vivian will continue as the firm’s group general counsel, overseeing its in-house legal function.
Goldstein’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation, trusts, fraud, asset tracing, insolvency and restructuring matters, including appearances before the British Virgin Islands courts in complex commercial disputes.
In a statement, Global Managing Partner William Peake said Goldstein and Hoffman bring strong leadership experience and deep knowledge of their respective jurisdictions. He also thanked Cassie-Parker and Vivian for their service as office managing partners.
The appointments are part of the firm’s ongoing leadership transition across its international network, according to Harneys.
