Mourant Workshop: Business Risk Assessments for VASPs

The Mourant Cayman Islands Regulatory Conference is an annual sell-out event, delivered by Mourant’s regulatory experts and special industry guests. The 2026 event will cover the latest issues affecting Cayman’s regulatory regime, including AML, AEOI and a sanctions update.

This year, we are also running two practical workshops in addition to the main conference.

If you hold the role of a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), you are required to identify and document the financial crime risks that your business faces through a Business Risk Assessment (BRA).

This practical workshop for VASPs will focus on the creation and maintenance of BRAs. Gain expert guidance to:

Identify and assess your financial crime risk exposure
Inform your approach to ongoing risk management
Identify the controls you have in place and determine if these need to be enhanced or supplemented

This session is designed for VASPs and AML professionals looking to strengthen their understanding of BRA requirements and how to meet them.
