Maples and Calder, the law firm of the Maples Group, said it advised on nearly half of all listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange (CSX) in 2025, underscoring the firm’s role in the jurisdiction’s capital markets activity.

According to the firm, its Cayman Islands listings team advised on more than 230 listings during the year, representing about 48% of securities listed on the exchange.

The CSX recorded 492 new securities listings in 2025, its fourth-highest annual total since the exchange was established in 1996. By the end of the year, the exchange had 2,758 active listings with a combined market capitalisation of about $838 billion, the firm said.

A steady flow of specialist debt listings in recent years has contributed to the growth in listings, particularly in the collateralised loan obligation, or CLO, market. The CSX listed 283 CLO securities in 2025, bringing the total number of CLO listings on the exchange to 1,412 by the end of December.

Maples Group said it advised on about 45% of the CLO listings on the CSX last year.

Amanda Lazier, a partner at the firm, said the results reflect continued demand from issuers using the Cayman Islands market for debt listings.

“Our clients place a high level of trust in us for their business needs,” Lazier said in a statement, adding that the firm expects continued growth in the exchange’s market activity.
