Cayman Finance has moved to larger offices in Camana Bay following a period of growth that has seen its membership more than quadruple over the past decade.
The financial services industry association now represents 190 member firms, up from 46 in 2015. The expansion has enabled Cayman Finance to increase its international promotional activities and invest more in local education and training programmes aimed at helping young Caymanians build careers in financial services.
The organisation has relocated from Regatta Office Park to the second floor of Gardenia Court in Camana Bay, placing it closer to many of its member firms. Cayman Finance has also expanded its team, with several new hires this year strengthening its capabilities across sector engagement, product development, operations and events.
Steve McIntosh, CEO of Cayman Finance, said: “Cayman Finance has grown substantially in recent years, driven by both the strength of our membership and the expanding role we play in supporting and promoting the industry. With almost 200 members and a larger team, we are doing more internationally to strengthen Cayman’s position as a leading financial centre, while also expanding our work locally to create opportunities for Caymanians.
“Our new office is a result of that growth and gives our team the space we need to continue building on it. It also puts us closer to many of our members, which is important for an organisation whose work is driven by engagement with the industry.”
Camana Bay, developed by Dart, has become an important centre for financial and professional services, with firms spanning law, accounting, banking and insurance based in the development.
Justin Howe, Chief Operating Officer of Dart, welcomed the move, saying: “The financial services industry is a cornerstone of the Cayman Islands economy and a key contributor to the jurisdiction’s long-term prosperity. Cayman Finance plays a vital role in supporting that success through its advocacy, international promotion and investment in the next generation of industry professionals.”
He added: “We are delighted to welcome Cayman Finance to Camana Bay, where it will join a growing community of financial and professional services organisations.”
