Catalyst Group wins offshore fund administrator award

The Catalyst Group has been named Fund Administrator of the Year: Offshore at the 2026 Hedgeweek US Awards, the Cayman-founded company announced Thursday.

The award was presented at a ceremony in New York and recognises firms in the alternative investment fund industry. According to Catalyst, winners were determined through manager nominations and peer-review voting by institutional investors. Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Governance Officer Scott Price and Associate Director of Client Experience Ana Nobre accepted the award for the company.

Founded in the Cayman Islands in 2021, Catalyst provides fund administration, corporate and regulatory services, and financial reporting. Its core licensed entities are based in Cayman, and the company services offshore funds in the Cayman Islands, Bahamas and British Virgin Islands, as well as US-domiciled funds.

Catalyst said it now services more than 180 clients and 900 entities, representing approximately $15 billion in assets under administration. The company also has operations, support and client relationship teams in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Brazil and Portugal.

“This recognition means a great deal to our entire team,” co-founder and CEO Benji Reid said. “When we established Catalyst five years ago, we set out to build a firm unencumbered by legacy technology, centered on our clients and offering a full-service model under one roof, for onshore and offshore structures alike.”

The company also plans to release a major upgrade to Core, its client portal, in the fourth quarter of 2026. Catalyst said the update will include a redesigned interface, artificial intelligence support, expanded reporting and analytics, and electronic subscription processing.

Price credited the company’s staff for the award, saying, “It belongs to the people who produce our clients’ NAVs, answer their calls and get the detail right every day.”
