Premier and Minister for Financial Services André Ebanks
Premier André Ebanks will travel to London and Dublin beginning Sept. 12 for meetings with UK and European government, policy and financial services representatives, the Cayman Islands Government said.
The trip is part of the government’s international engagement on financial services and will include meetings and industry events focused on investment funds, regulation and Cayman’s role as an international financial centre.
In London, Ebanks, who also serves as minister for financial services and commerce, is scheduled to meet Uma Kumaran, the UK parliamentary under-secretary of state in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office with responsibility for the overseas territories. Finance and Economic Development Minister Rolston Anglin may also attend the meeting.
Ebanks will also participate in a Cayman Finance roundtable with investment funds stakeholders and speak at the Maples Insight: London Investment Funds Forum 2026.
In Dublin, the premier is scheduled to attend the Eurofi Financial Forum and meet representatives of the European Union and other European stakeholders, according to the government.
Deputy Representative for Financial Services to Europe Julie Campbell and Cabinet Office Deputy Chief Officer for Policy Coordination Jason Webster will accompany Ebanks. Representatives of the Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority are expected to participate in some engagements.
