Cayman Captive Forum names Chris Norton, Eric O’Neill as keynote speakers

Chris Norton and Eric O’Neill will deliver the opening and closing keynote addresses at the 2026 Cayman Captive Forum, scheduled for Dec. 1-3 at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman announced.

The annual captive insurance conference is expected to draw more than 1,500 attendees for three days of educational and networking events, according to IMAC. The association describes the forum as the world’s largest captive insurance conference.

Norton, an author and high-performance coach, is scheduled to open the forum Wednesday morning. At age 18, he suffered a severe spinal cord injury while playing college football and was given a 3% chance of regaining movement below his neck, according to the release. He later walked across the stage at his college graduation and down the aisle at his wedding. His experience is featured in the documentary “7 Yards: The Chris Norton Story.”

O’Neill will deliver the closing keynote Thursday morning. A former FBI counterintelligence operative, attorney and author, O’Neill participated undercover in the investigation that led to the arrest of FBI agent Robert Hanssen for espionage. That case was later portrayed in the film “Breach.” O’Neill now speaks on cybersecurity issues, including emerging cyber threats and risks involving artificial intelligence.

“We’re delighted to welcome Chris and Eric as this year’s keynote speakers,” said Michael Wild, chair of the Cayman Captive Forum Committee. “Their experiences are very different, but both bring powerful perspectives on navigating risk, responding to challenges and adapting in an increasingly complex world. We’re hoping that their stories and insights will resonate well with the delegates at this year’s Forum.”

Registration for Cayman Captive Forum 2026 is still open. As the world’s largest captive insurance conference, the event is once again expected to attract over 1,500 attendees for three days of educational and networking opportunities.
