Muriel Marseille
Walkers has appointed Muriel Marseille as chief compliance officer, placing the legal and professional services veteran in charge of further developing the firm’s global governance framework.
Marseille has more than 25 years of experience in the legal and professional services sectors, including more than 18 years in senior risk and governance positions, according to Walkers. She joins the firm from Ashurst Perkins Coie, where she most recently served as chief risk officer and oversaw functions related to risk management and organisational resilience across its global operations.
In her new position, Marseille will work with Walkers’ leadership team on governance and compliance as the firm continues to grow internationally.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Muriel to Walkers,” Global Managing Partner Ingrid Pierce said. “She brings exceptional experience in risk and governance, and her perspective will be a real asset to the firm as we continue to deliver the high standards our clients expect.”
Marseille said she looked forward to working with colleagues across the organisation to support the firm’s operations and resilience.
Marseille succeeds Tui Iti, who joined Walkers in 2025. Iti will move to Walkers Professional Services, where he will support the business following the completion of a co-investment with Vitruvian Partners.
Angela Robertson will remain general counsel and chief risk officer for the law firm.
