Tommy Tuohy
Conyers has appointed Tommy Tuohy as a partner in its Cayman Islands corporate and finance practice, expanding the firm’s bench on fund finance and cross-border transactions, the firm said.
Tuohy advises financial institutions and major corporates on leveraged and corporate finance, project finance, restructurings and a range of fund finance structures, including subscription and capital call facilities, NAV and hybrid facilities. He is recognised in IFLR1000 and Legal 500 for banking, finance and capital markets work, the firm said.
“We are excited to welcome Tommy to Conyers to strengthen further our Corporate and Finance team in Cayman,” said Matthew Stocker, partner and head of the Cayman office. “His experience and leadership will be invaluable as we continue on our growth trajectory.”
Prior to joining Conyers, Tuohy was a partner in the banking and finance team at Ogier Cayman. He started his career at William Fry in Dublin and subsequently worked as a Consultant at Gilbert & Tobin in Australia.
Tuohy said he looks forward to working with the team and contributing to the firm’s growth. His arrival follows a period of promotions and senior hires in the Cayman office earlier this year, Conyers said.
