KPMG appoints Tatiana Egoshina to lead actuarial practice in Cayman

KPMG has appoint Tatiana Egoshina as the firm’s new Principal of Actuarial. She will lead the development and growth of the firm’s Actuarial team, covering advisory projects and providing specialist audit support.

Egoshina brings more than two decades of experience across consulting and industry roles, including over 10 years with a UK consultancy and leadership of an actuarial risk team at a global reinsurer, KPMG said. Her background includes economic capital model development, model validation, M&A support, and stress and scenario testing.

“I am excited to join KPMG and collaborate with a dynamic and talented team,” Egoshina said in the announcement, adding that the role will let her contribute to the growth and innovation of the firm’s actuarial services. David Watt, head of insurance at KPMG in the Cayman Islands, said Egoshina’s experience will help expand offerings and “solidify KPMG as a leader in the insurance industry” locally.

Egoshina holds a mathematics degree from Moscow State University, is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and has a data science certificate. She has presented at the International Congress of Actuaries and the IFoA Life Conference and has published on topics such as shareholder value reporting and the use of causal models for risk, including climate risk.
