The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman raised more than US$42,000 for its Educational Scholarship Fund during its annual gala, held on 13 Sept at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa. More than 300 guests from the captive insurance and financial services sectors attended the fundraiser.
The scholarship programme supports Caymanian students pursuing tertiary education overseas. Since its inception, the fund has provided financial assistance to dozens of young people in fields ranging from finance to medicine.
“Every dollar raised helps expand opportunities for Caymanian students and strengthens the future of our local workforce,” IMAC Chair Kieran Mehigan said.

This year’s event featured remarks by past scholarship recipient Jevaughnie Ebanks, who described how the program transformed his education and career path. His testimony underscored the long-term impact of the initiative, organisers said.
RSM returned as title sponsor of the 2025 gala, with additional support from Artex, Campbells and Honigman. RSM partner Richard Wainwright said the firm is committed to “investing in young people” and believes education “creates lasting value for the entire community.”
