Cayman Airways has been recognised with three gold awards in the 2025 Best of Cayman Islands Awards, including Best Customer Service, Best Place to Work and Best Cargo/Logistics.
It is the second consecutive year the national airline has been named Best Place to Work and Best Cargo/Logistics provider. The Best Customer Service award was introduced this year, and Cayman Airways was the inaugural winner.
Company President and CEO Fabian Whorms said in a press release the recognition reflects the dedication of the airline’s staff. “To be recognised once again as Cayman’s Best Place to Work and Best Cargo/Logistics provider, and now also as the Best in Customer Service, is a true reflection of our employees’ dedication, professionalism, and passion for serving our Islands,” he said.
Paul Tibbetts, executive vice president for commercial affairs and chief financial officer, noted that the customer service award was particularly meaningful given competition from across industries. He said internal customer surveys showed Cayman Airways now averages a Net Promoter Score above 60, compared with 25 to 35 for many other carriers.
The airline also highlighted its cargo division, which Vice President of Airport Passenger and Cargo Services Ivan Forbes said plays a key role in supporting local businesses and logistics providers. “Our service benefits not only our own customers, but also several of the top-tier cargo and logistics providers in the Cayman Islands who rely on our cargo services as the backbone of their operations,” he said.
Cayman Airways operates the largest number of nonstop international flights to and from the Cayman Islands and provides domestic service between Grand Cayman and the Sister Islands.
