CIIPA holds 2025 AGM

The Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants held its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 11 March at the George Town Yacht Club.

Fifteen members were elected to serve on the CIIPA Council for the 2025-2026 term, while Rosa Nolan (President), Laurie Mernett (Vice-President) and James George (Secretary) were re-appointed as officers.

“As we look to the horizon, the accounting profession is on the cusp of transformation,” Nolan said during the President’s Report. “Here in the Cayman Islands, we are uniquely positioned to lead this evolution, thanks to our dynamic community and innovative spirit.”

The CIIPA Council was elected at the AGM.

The 15 elected Council Members are: Serge Berube, Edward Gwekwete, Peter Small, Francois Lamontagne, Ben Leung, Mike Mannisto, Laurie Mernett, Craig Smith, Marina Caruntu, Yuri Williams, Marlon Bispath, Ewan McGill, Rennie Khan, Rosa Nolan and James George.

“As I reflect on CIIPA’s work over the past year, I am once again filled with a deep sense of pride and gratitude,” Sheree Ebanks said in the CEO’s Report. “The past twelve months have been a testament to our collective dedication — our commitment to professional excellence, regulatory leadership, and meaningful community engagement.”
