Maples Group premier listing agent on Cayman Islands Stock Exchange in 2024

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, announced it is once again the number one listing agent on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange (CSX) having advised on 47% of all CSX listings in 2024 – more than 15 percentage points ahead ahead of the next listing agent.

In 2024, the CSX listed 544 new securities making it the fourth best year for new listings since the CSX’s inception in 1996, and an 86% increase in new listings from 2023. At the end of 2024, the total number of active listings on the CSX reached 2,837 securities, amounting to a market capitalisation of US$955 billion. This growth reflects the continued confidence of issuers and investors in the CSX, Maples Group said in a press release.

The CSX further advanced its position as the leading listing venue for specialist debt securities, with a total of 525 securitisation specialist bonds listed, which remained the largest proportion of new listings during 2024.

The CSX also cemented its position as the leading venue for listing collateralised loan obligations (CLOs) with 352 securities listed in 2024. This brings the total number of CLOs listed on the CSX to 1,403 at the end of December 2024. Notably, in addition to Cayman Islands-domiciled issuers, issuers incorporated in Delaware, Jersey and Bermuda increasingly choose the CSX for their CLOs listings, Maples said. The CSX is a popular choice for investors who require a listing on a recognised stock exchange, due primarily to its efficiency and competitive pricing.

Overall, in 2024, the Maples Group’s Cayman Islands listings team advised on over 250 listings, including approximately 45% of CLOs listed on the CSX for the year.

Commenting on the recently published results, Amanda Lazier, Partner, said: “We are incredibly proud to once again be recognised as the top listing agent on the CSX. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our global listings team, who consistently strive to deliver exceptional service and results for our clients.”
