Carey Olsen promotes corporate lawyer Emily Cornhill to partner in the Cayman Islands

Carey Olsen has promoted Emily Cornhill to partner within the firm’s Cayman Islands corporate practice.

Cornhill advises on a range of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular emphasis on investment funds. Her practice focuses on the establishment of investment funds in the Cayman Islands, in addition to advising on transactional, financing and regulatory and compliance matters related to investment funds and other vehicles.

Before joining Carey Olsen in 2020, she gained experience in private acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, GP-led secondary transactions and refinancings for a variety of private equity clients at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

Cornhill qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2016, having trained with Slaughter and May, and was admitted as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands in 2020. Emily graduated from the University of Bristol with first class honours in Law with Chemistry LLB. She is rated as a Rising Star in IFLR1000.
