
The Maples Group has announced that applications for legal scholarships are now open.
The Maples Group Legal Scholarship Programme is designed to support students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and a commitment to pursuing a career in law.
Since the inception of the programme in 1994, the Maples has awarded more than US$7.55 million in scholarships to more than 140 Caymanian students, supporting their academic and professional aspirations in the legal field.
In 2024 legal scholarships were awarded to:
Marylee Brown, who is pursuing a combined LPC / Masters in Business & Management at the University of Law. Marylee previously completed an LLM at King’s College London and earned an LLB from UWE Bristol. She is a graduate of St. Ignatius Catholic School.
Amiah Myles, who is at the Northumbria University studying an LLB. Amiah graduated from Bridgeway Academy and previously attended Triple C School.
Talia McMillan-Collett who is pursuing an LLB at the University of Leicester. Talia completed her A Levels at Cayman Prep & High School.
India McLean-High, who is pursuing an LLB at Queen Mary University in London. India completed her A Levels at the British School of Barcelona, Spain.
The deadline to apply to the Maples Group Legal Scholarship Programme is 1 March. Applicants must submit their academic transcripts, a personal statement, proof of Caymanian Status and letters of recommendation as part of the application process.
