The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) raised US$17,000 for its Educational Scholarship Fund at the association’s 2024 Golf Scramble on 25 Oct. Since inception, IMAC’s Educational Scholarship Fund has raised over $5 million, supporting 74 Caymanian students in furthering their education.

This year’s winning team, representing PwC, delivered an impressive score, narrowly surpassing the teams from TRAC and Grant Thornton. While no one claimed the hole-in-one prizes, the event celebrated the community’s spirit and commitment to education.

The event was co-sponsored by Grant Thornton, Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd. and Conyers, with Grant Thornton also sponsoring a US$1M Hole-in-One Challenge, and TRAC Automotive sponsoring a further Hole-in-One car prize challenge.

“Grant Thornton is proud to support the IMAC Educational Scholarship Fund Golf Scramble as title sponsor for the sixth consecutive year,” says Dara Keogh, managing partner of Grant Thornton (Cayman) LLP. “We are passionate about the educational development of young Caymanians and look forward to seeing everyone next year to continue supporting a worthy cause.”

Raffle items were also donated by Governors Village, Sunshine Suites, Market Street Group, Cayman Physio, the Cayman Captive Forum Committee and North Sound Golf Club.

“Scotiabank is proud to continue to be a title sponsor of the IMAC golf event, supporting the industry to raise funds for their scholarship fund,” said Marcus Stafford, director of Captive Insurance Services at Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd. “The education of our future leaders is at the heart of our core values that we commit to for the future.”
